Joanne joined the Ark People & Communities team as Marketing Manager in June 2013, looking at marketing and business development with a focus on building relationships with both new and existing clients, supporting them to achieve their corporate goals and objectives while ensuring maximum return on investment.
Joanne has a background in community and people development. She is a practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, as well as holding licenses for a variety of psychometric and behavioural-based assessment tools such as MTQ48 and ILM72. She utilises these tools to help measure mental toughness and build capacity within communities. Her expertise also covers project management, sales and client management with both blue chip and not for profit sector organisations.
Joanne has been working with the public sector for the past 10 years and has extensive relationships within the housing sector. This includes work with the CIH supporting them with their Thought Leadership programme and their Rising Stars programme in the North West, supporting Asset Skills on their Youth Charter and Supporting Black Country Talent Match with their Mentor training and SROI. Joanne is also a member of the North West WISH Board (Women in Social Housing) as the events & marketing coordinator.

He now leads on policy and the health agenda for the Sports and Recreation Alliance. He is still chairing his local Leicestershire County Sports Partnership after 10 years in the role. He also sits on the boards of Special Olympics GB, British Basketball League Foundation and Sports Chaplaincy UK. He is a member of the RFU Rugby World Cup Legacy Group for his region.
In 2011 he established with other colleagues, the independent Sports Think Tank (www.sportsthinktank.com) to enable the sports sector to have its own policy and evidence based think tank space in Westminster and Whitehall.
In 2015 he joined the board of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA)
Outside of sport Andy also serves on the board of the biggest Children's international development agency – Worldvision UK.
In 2012 Andy was awarded an OBE for Services to Sport and the Community in Leicestershire, after chairing the 2012 Olympic Leicestershire Legacy Group.

Simon is seconded from the Active Black Country Director post at the Black Country Consortium Limited, where he was Director for 12 years; developing an insight and intelligence-led approach to planning, championing skills, collaboration; addressing inequalities and economic growth. He previously worked for Sport England and a number of Local Authorities.
After 35 years of football, in 2017 he ran the London Marathon and led the WMCA’s team to success in the Great Birmingham Half Marathon’s Arcadis business challenge, raising over £7500 for local charities. He is a guest Research lecturer at the University of Worcester and his passions include beekeeping, gardening; Public Service Broadcasting and the more sorrows, than joys of supporting Birmingham City.

After 2 years of working in Parliament (1996-1998) for various MPs, Tracey left to work as a political consultant where she represented clients ranging from a major chocolate manufacturer, financial institutions and members of the chemical industry, through to slimming groups and pet charities.
In 2003, Tracey was asked to return to Parliament to become Chief of Staff to the Shadow Education Secretary before moving to become Chief of Staff to the Shadow Home Secretary shortly after. Tracey once again left Parliament to work in the City for insurance giant Norwich Union and its FTSE parent Aviva, where she worked until 7th May 2010 when she was elected as the Conservative MP for Chatham and Aylesford.

He is also interested in the role of new technologies in education, career development and research, the role of appearance and attractiveness in career and social justice in careers work. He has published extensively on career development and has lectured in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, Saudi Arabia and all across Europe.
Tristram has been head of the International Centre for Guidance Studies, a world-leading research centre, for six years. He is a NICEC Fellow, a Winston Churchill Fellow and a member of the editorial board of the British Journal of Guidance and Counselling. He regularly advises governments on career education and guidance policy and has even been listened to on occasion.
Before coming to Derby, Tristram worked for the Career Research Advisory Centre (CRAC) and the University of Leicester.
